I participated in the National Novel Writing Month ‘NaNoWriMo’ competition for the first time this year, and it was a very interesting experience. For those of you not familiar with NaNoWriMo, it’s a challenge to write a 50,000 word novel during the month of November. Everyone who succeeds wins; the book doesn’t have to be good or even coherent, it just has to be written only during November.
It definitely was a challenge, and the book I wrote is horrible, horrible, awful stuff, but hey, I did it! I’m not sure I even want to go back over the story now, though…Maybe I’ll just bury it and hope no one ever finds it.
